Statement by Palazzo Chigi on the President of the Republic’s end-of-year message

Meeting on the case of Alberto Trentini held at Palazzo Chigi
A meeting was held at Palazzo Chigi this morning to discuss the situation of Italian citizen Alberto Trentini, a humanitarian worker being detained in Venezuela, together with another seven Italian-Venezuelan citizens who have recently been arrested. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano, the heads of the intelligence service and the Chief of Police, Vittorio Pisani.

Caso di Alberto Trentini, riunione a Palazzo Chigi
Questa mattina si è svolta a Palazzo Chigi una riunione dedicata alla situazione del connazionale Alberto Trentini, operatore umanitario detenuto in Venezuela, insieme ad altri sette cittadini italo-venezuelani recentemente arrestati. All’incontro hanno preso parte il Ministro degli Affari Esteri, Antonio Tajani, il Ministro dell’Interno, Matteo Piantedosi, il Sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio, Alfredo Mantovano, i vertici dell’Intelligence e il Capo della Polizia, Vittorio Pisani.

President Meloni visits United Arab Emirates
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, on an official visit to Abu Dhabi, delivered a speech during the high-level segment of the Sustainability Week on interconnections as part of the energy transition. In the margins of the event, together with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, President Meloni attended the signing of a trilateral agreement for the development of renewable energy in Albania and its export to Italy via an undersea power cable. Visita del Presidente Meloni negli Emirati Arabi Uniti
Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha compiuto una missione ad Abu Dhabi dove è intervenuta al segmento di alto livello della Sustainability Week sul tema delle interconnessioni nel quadro della transizione energetica. A margine dell’evento, insieme al Presidente degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, e al Primo Ministro dell’Albania, Edi Rama, ha presenziato alla firma di un’intesa trilaterale per lo sviluppo di energie rinnovabili in Albania e la loro esportazione verso l’Italia tramite un cavo elettrico sottomarino. Giubileo 2025, Mantovano inaugura la nuova piazza dei Cinquecento a Roma
Il Sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio, Alfredo Mantovano, è intervenuto oggi a Roma alla cerimonia di riapertura di piazza dei Cinquecento. La piazza, antistante alla Stazione Termini, è stata oggetto di una importante opera di riqualificazione nell’ambito del piano infrastrutturale per il Giubileo della Chiesa Cattolica del 2025. Hanno preso parte alla cerimonia il Commissario di Governo per il Giubileo della Chiesa Cattolica e Sindaco di Roma Capitale, Roberto Gualtieri, l’Assessore ai Lavori Pubblici e alle Infrastrutture di Roma Capitale, Ornella Segnalini, il Presidente del Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Tommaso Tanzilli, l’Amministratore delegato e Direttore generale del gruppo FS, Stefano Antonio Donnarumma, il Presidente di ANAS, Edoardo Valente, il suo Amministratore delegato, Aldo Isi, e il Presidente di FS Sistemi Urbani, Raffaele Ferrara.
