The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in Kyiv today, focusing on developments in the conflict in Ukraine.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to reiterate that Ukraine is a key issue on the agenda of the Italian G7 Presidency, and to underscore the comprehensive support that Italy is providing to Kyiv, starting with reconstruction and security cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, a security cooperation agreement was signed, in line with the commitments undertaken at G7 level during the NATO Summit in Vilnius in July 2023.
