The steering committee for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) met at Palazzo Chigi this morning to examine the NRRP implementation progress report. The meeting, called and chaired by Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP Raffaele Fitto, was attended by all Ministries involved and representatives from ANCI [National Association of Italian Municipalities], UPI [Union of Italian Provinces] and the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
Minister Fitto outlined the work carried out by the Government in the second half of 2023 to meet all the planned objectives and to complete the complex process to revise the Plan, in constructive cooperation with the European Commission, introducing the new REPowerEU chapter, implementing reforms and adjusting numerous measures that are strategic for Italy’s structural economic growth, with a greater focus on digitalisation, environmental sustainability and the resilience of the nation’s economic and social fabric.
