President Meloni’s call with President Biden
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. The conversation focused on support for Ukraine and recent events in Russia. President Biden asked President Meloni about the situation regarding Italy’s commitment in the Mediterranean and cooperation with the European Union for stability in Africa. Great attention was paid to outlining the crisis in Russia and its impact related to Wagner Group’s presence in Africa. President Meloni and President Biden reaffirmed the deep ties between their nations, the solidity of the transatlantic alliance and the unity of NATO, which are topics that will be discussed at the upcoming Vilnius summit.

President Meloni at Europa-Forum Wachau
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, delivered a speech at the Europa-Forum Wachau today, held at Göttweig Abbey in Austria. President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni is following developments of the crisis in Russia and has held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto and Undersecretaries to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano and Giovanbattista Fazzolari. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence and intelligence service, in coordination with Palazzo Chigi, are analysing the scenario, in constant contact with NATO and European Union allies.
