The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a cordial meeting today with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in the margins of the European Political Community summit in Granada.
President Meloni confirmed that the Italian Government will continue to provide firm, all-round support to the Ukrainian authorities for the defence of critical infrastructure and for Kyiv’s needs in view of the winter season, for as long as necessary and with the goal of achieving a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.
President Zelensky thanked the President of the Council of Ministers and the Italian Government for the support that has always been provided to the Ukrainian institutions and people.
The two leaders also discussed how to ensure support regarding the grain initiative for African countries that are facing a growing food crisis.
