Third meeting of the Jubilee 2025 coordination committee held at Palazzo Chigi

The third meeting of the coordination committee for the Jubilee of 2025 was held at Palazzo Chigi today. The meeting, chaired by Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano, was attended, among others, by the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanché, the Mayor of Rome and the Government’s Special Commissioner for the Jubilee 2025, Roberto Gualtieri, and Pro-Prefect of the Holy See's Dicastery for Evangelization Monsignor Rino Fisichella.

The meeting focused on the imminent publication in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic of the simplification measures aimed at speeding up implementation of works projects, with adequate safeguards of legality. Details were provided regarding, among others, the urgent works projects at ‘Città dello Sport’, Piazza Pia and Piazza Risorgimento, Piazza dei Cinquecento and Piazza San Giovanni. For a number of these, construction work is set to begin in the near future. The committee scheduled its next meeting for 14 March.

The coordination committee is made up of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Department for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, the Lazio Region, the Municipality of Roma Capitale, the Prefecture of Rome, the ‘CCASIIP’ [Coordination Committee for the High Supervision of Infrastructure and Priority Works], the Italian Public Property Agency, the Civil Protection Department,  ANAS S.p.A., the Italian High Council for Public Works, the company ‘Giubileo 2025’, Ferrovie dello Stato [Italian state railway operator], Invitalia [National Agency for Inward Investment and Economic Development], Consip S.p.A., and the Holy See's Dicastery for Evangelization.
