Statement by Undersecretary of State Mantovano on the passing of Silvio Berlusconi

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Silvio Berlusconi. My heartfelt sympathy goes to his family, the Forza Italia community and all those who loved him. A great European political leader and a great Italian has passed away. His insight, his battles, his commitment transformed our nation, opening up spaces of genuine freedom. Through the mercy of God, may he rest in peace.
