Statement by President Meloni on Parliament’s approval of tax reform enabling law

I am very pleased with Parliament’s final approval of the tax reform enabling law. This structural and comprehensive reform, which Italy has been waiting for for fifty years, embodies a clear vision of development and growth.
Less taxes on households and businesses, a fairer and more equitable tax system, higher take-home pay, and lower taxes for those who hire and invest in Italy, as well as simpler and faster procedures. These are some of the principles of this historic measure that will revolutionise the relationship between the tax system and citizens and businesses. The Government will work to concretely put the reform into action through implementing decrees.
This was a commitment we made with citizens and, today, we have delivered on it, in the interest of Italy.
