The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, delivered a speech today at the opening ceremony of the United Nations Food Systems Summit, being held at the FAO Headquarters in Rome.
Before the Summit got underway, President Meloni met with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Rigathi Gachagua, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Djibouti, Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed, and the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali.
She later had bilateral meetings with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, with the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, with the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, and with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Niger, Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou.
