President Meloni’s statement on International Monetary Fund revising GDP estimates for Italy upwards

25 July 2023

The International Monetary Fund revising its GDP estimates for Italy upwards confirms the effectiveness of the Government’s economic policy and spurs us on to continue along this path and do even better. In 2023, Italy will grow more than Germany and France and more than the eurozone average.
These results form the basis for the next Budget Law, which we are already working on. In a complex scenario, we will continue to pursue the line of development and prudence, of giving impetus and budget stability.
Italy is proving to be resilient and dynamic. Businesses and households have responded in an extraordinary way.
