The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain at Palazzo Chigi today. During the meeting, issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed in depth, with particular reference to trade and defence cooperation.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the Middle East crisis, examining in particular the possible initiatives to avoid the ongoing conflict spreading further and to facilitate a solution to the most urgent humanitarian problems.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on the need to relaunch a political horizon with the legitimate Palestinian authorities for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
President Meloni accepted the invitation to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain soon.
