Joint meeting of institutional working group and coordination committee for the Jubilee 2025

A joint meeting of the institutional working group and the coordination committee for the Jubilee of 2025 was held today at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano. At the beginning of the meeting, the Mayor of Rome and the Government’s Special Commissioner for the Jubilee 2025, Roberto Gualtieri, illustrated the detailed works schedule and the progress of projects, including the Piazza Pia underpass, the redevelopment of Piazza dei Cinquecento, Termini station and the square in front of the Basilica of San Giovanni, and the restoration of the ‘Le Vele’ site in the Tor Vergata area of the city.

During the meeting, the need to immediately launch all technical working groups was also highlighted and it was announced that a second DPCM [Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers] is in the process of being formalised, following the one approved last December.

Among others, the meeting was attended by: Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini; Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano; Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè; President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca; President of the Chamber of Deputies Culture Commission Federico Mollicone; Vice-President of the Senate Maria Domenica Castellone; and, Pro-Prefect of the Holy See's Dicastery for Evangelization Monsignor Rino Fisichella. The next joint meeting of the institutional working group and coordination committee will be held at 7pm on 23 May.
