Gender equality: approval of amendment already contained in decree law 57/2023. Government expresses satisfaction with the work carried out with the opposition

The Government expresses its satisfaction with the work carried out by the Chamber of Deputies Constitutional Affairs Committee and Budget Committee in examining Draft Law no. 51/2023. The majority and opposition parties worked together to approve the rewording of an amendment by the opposition which, by adopting the provisions of a government proposal submitted for the same draft law, made the regulations introduced by article 2 of decree law 57/2023 definitive. Said regulations regard the certification of gender equality in public procurement.
Companies in possession of gender equality certification will benefit from public tender assessment bonus points in the new procurement code.
