Fifth joint meeting of institutional working group and coordination committee for the Jubilee 2025

The fifth joint meeting of the institutional working group and the coordination committee for the Jubilee of 2025 was held today at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano.

Opening the meeting, Undersecretary of State Mantovano pointed out that the various thematic groups in charge of organising the event had continued to work throughout the month of August. The Mayor of Rome and Special Commissioner for the Jubilee 2025, Roberto Gualtieri, then took the floor and informed attendees about the progress of works projects and activities relating to hospitality services.

Later in the meeting, Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè, Special Commissioner for the Jubilee Roberto Gualtieri and Pro-Prefect of the Holy See's Dicastery for Evangelization Monsignor Rino Fisichella signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the reception of tourists visiting Rome for the Holy Year. The aim of the agreement is to improve hospitality services and enhance pilgrims’ cultural and spiritual development. In particular, a website and integrated app with geolocation will be created covering Rome’s sacred heritage, providing all information on scheduled events.

The meeting was also attended by: Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Economy and Finance Lucia Albano; Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport Tullio Ferrante; President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca; Prefect of Rome Lamberto Giannini; Head of the Civil Protection Department Fabrizio Curcio; and, President of the Chamber of Deputies Culture Commission Federico Mollicone.
