The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The conversation confirmed the excellent level of bilateral relations between Rome and Astana and the common interest to strengthen them further. President Tokayev expressed condolences to the Italian Government for the victims of the flooding in Emilia-Romagna.

Al centro dei colloqui, l’ulteriore rafforzamento delle relazioni economico-commerciali, soprattutto in campo energetico, dell’agroindustria e della transizione ecologica. L’incontro ha inoltre offerto l’opportunità per discutere delle principali crisi regionali, con particolare attenzione al Sudan e alla Regione dei Grandi Laghi.
