Statement by President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni
“We welcome with satisfaction today’s decision by the European Commission to prolong certain measures provided for by the State aid Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework until the end of June 2024. The European Commission has thus granted the request, made first and foremost by Italy, to allow for a gradual and sustainable phase-out of the support measures adopted by the Government over the last months. President Meloni’s telephone conversation with the newly elected President of the Argentine Republic
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the newly elected President of the Argentine Republic, Javier Milei, to whom she offered her congratulations and best wishes for his work. Argentina is a nation to which we are bound by deep historical and cultural ties and it is home to the largest community of Italians abroad. Rome and Buenos Aires share common values that define our foreign policy action in the current international context.

Campagna "Illumina Novembre" per la lotta al cancro al polmone 2023
In occasione del Mese dedicato alle iniziative di Sensibilizzazione al Cancro del Polmone (Lung Cancer Awareness Month - LCAM), la facciata principale di Palazzo Chigi in Piazza Colonna sarà illuminata di bianco – colore che simboleggia la neoplasia polmonare, dall’imbrunire del 18 novembre all’alba del 19 novembre.

‘Illumina Novembre’ campaign for lung cancer awareness month 2023
To mark Lung Cancer Awareness Month (LCAM), Palazzo Chigi’s main façade will be lit up in white, the colour that represents lung cancer awareness, from sunset on 18 November until sunrise on 19 November.

President Meloni in Zagreb
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, at the seat of Government in Zagreb this morning. Following their meeting, the two leaders issued statements to the press. At the end of today’s visit, President Meloni addressed journalists at a press point.
Yesterday evening, together with Prime Minister Plenković, Prime Minister Morawiecki of the Republic of Poland, and Prime Minister Abela of the Republic of Malta, President Meloni attended the working dinner organised by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, as part of the series of small group discussions on the EU Strategic Agenda for 2024-2029.

Il Presidente Meloni a Zagabria
Questa mattina il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha incontrato a Zagabria, presso il Palazzo del Governo, il Primo Ministro della Repubblica di Croazia, Andrej Plenković. In seguito hanno rilasciato le dichiarazioni congiunte alla stampa. Al termine della visita il Presidente Meloni ha tenuto un punto stampa.
Ieri sera, insieme al Primo Ministro Plenković, al Primo Ministro della Repubblica di Polonia Morawiecki e al Primo Ministro della Repubblica di Malta Abela, il Presidente Meloni ha partecipato alla cena di lavoro organizzata dal Presidente del Consiglio europeo Michel nell'ambito di una serie di incontri ristretti sull'Agenda strategica Ue 2024-2029.

Si è svolto oggi a Palazzo Chigi un lungo e approfondito incontro tra il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, i ministri competenti, e gli esponenti delle organizzazioni sindacali e le rappresentanze del personale delle Forze Armate, delle Forze di Polizia e dei Vigili del Fuoco. Alla riunione hanno partecipato i Ministri delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti, Matteo Salvini, dell’Interno, Matteo Piantedosi, della Giustizia, Carlo Nordio, della Difesa, Guido Crosetto, dell’Economia e delle Finanze, Giancarlo Giorgetti, per la Pubblica amministrazione, Paolo Zangrillo e il sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio, Alfredo Mantovano.

The Government meets with trade unions and representatives of Armed Forces, Police Forces and Fire Brigade personnel
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, and the relevant ministers had a long and in-depth meeting at Palazzo Chigi today with trade unions and representatives of Armed Forces, Police Forces and Fire Brigade personnel.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio, Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto, Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo and Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano.

President Meloni’s telephone conversation with President Erdoğan on the Middle East crisis
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, continues to stay in close contact with key Heads of State and Government of allied nations and leaders of the countries most affected by the ongoing deep crisis in the Middle East region. In this context, President Meloni had a comprehensive telephone conversation today with the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which emphasised the value of their Countries’ close bilateral ties.
