President Meloni meets with President Milei of Argentina

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the President of the Argentine Republic, Javier Milei, at Palazzo Chigi today. Recalling the historical cultural ties between Italy and Argentina, the meeting focused on the common will to strengthen bilateral relations, starting with economic cooperation in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructures and agriculture. The regional situation was also discussed, with both leaders agreeing on the need - in light of the Italian G7 Presidency - for the Group of Seven to closely coordinate with the G20. In closing, attesting to the strength of the cultural partnership, President Meloni also mentioned that Italy’s Amerigo Vespucci training ship would soon be docking in Buenos Aires.
