The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the margins of COP28. The two leaders expressed their great satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relationship, as can also be seen by the developments in economic relations between the two Nations.
President Meloni congratulated the UAE President on the organisation and results of COP28, sharing the investments Italy has made in the fight against climate change. The President of the Council of Ministers also expressed her best wishes to President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the United Arab Emirates National Day. The two leaders discussed the scope to strengthen bilateral economic relations and went on to have an updated exchange of views on the conflict in Gaza and humanitarian aid to support the civilian population.
