We are deeply hurt by the attacks in Odesa, the deaths of innocent people, the destruction of the Transfiguration Cathedral. Russian aggressors are demolishing granaries, depriving millions of starving people of food. They are devastating our European civilisation and its sacred symbols. A free people does not allow itself to be intimidated; barbarity will not prevail. With its unique expertise in restoration, Italy is ready to get involved with the reconstruction of Odesa’s cathedral and other treasures of Ukraine’s artistic heritage.
