Organisational units

The general organisational units of the Presidency are governed by the decree of the President of the Council of Ministers dated 1 October 2012.

The National School of Administration, a higher education and research institute, falls under the supervision of the Presidency and is governed by Italian Legislative Decree no. 178 of 1 December 2009.

Direct staff offices

Direct staff offices provide direct and specific assistance to the President of the Council of Ministers, to Ministers without portfolio and to the Undersecretaries of the Presidency in performing their duties. 
They are dissolved when the Government’s term of office comes to an end.
