President Meloni’s statement on demolition of Michele Zagaria’s hideout

The demolition of the hideout used by organised crime boss Michele Zagaria in Casapesenna (in the province of Caserta) confirms that the State is present in a complex area that deserves the institutions’ full attention. Today’s operation is extremely important and symbolic, as it cancels out the place that was used by the boss of the Casalesi clan to control that area. Today is a good day for the State and for all those who love and defend legality. The fight against organised crime is one of the cornerstones of this Government’s action and we shall continue to work around the clock in this direction.
