13 October 2023

The Government met with social partners at Palazzo Chigi today to discuss the Budget Law, ahead of its presentation at the Council of Ministers meeting on Monday 16 October. The exchange of views took place in a fruitful and constructive atmosphere, with the Government illustrating the pillars of the draft Budget Law for 2024 to the trade unions and employers’ associations.

The Government, represented by Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Labour and Social Policies Marina Calderone, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Maurizio Leo, Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy Fausta Bergamotto and Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano, underlined that it was working on a serious, responsible and realistic Budget Law, in respect of public finance sustainability and in continuation of the work that has been carried out by the Government since the last Budget Law.
