President Meloni in Kyiv

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, was in Ukraine today. Upon her arrival at Kyiv’s central station, she was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yevhen Perebyinis. This morning, President Meloni visited St. Andrew’s Orthodox Church in Bucha and the places worst hit by the bombings in the city of Irpin.
In the afternoon, President Meloni met with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. Following a signing ceremony for the Joint Declaration between Italy and Ukraine, the two leaders held a press conference. President Meloni went on to lay a wreath at the Memory Wall of Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
