Official visit to the Argentine Republic
During her official visit to the Argentine Republic, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, laid a floral wreath at the monument to José de San Martín in Buenos Aires this morning.
President Meloni then went on to have a meeting with President Javier Milei at the Casa Rosada, after which the two leaders issued statements to the press.
President Meloni later received the Key to the City from the Mayor of Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri, at the Italian Cultural Institute, and went on to deliver an address at the Teatro Coliseo, where she met with the Italian community.
Yesterday, upon her arrival at Buenos Aires airport, President Meloni was welcomed by the Italian Ambassador to Argentina, Fabrizio Lucentini, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic, Eduardo Bustamante, and the Europe director at the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Betina de Fonseca. She then went on to meet the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina, Martín Menem, the Chief of the Ministerial Cabinet, Guillermo Francos, and President Milei’s Advisor Santiago Caputo.
