The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with King Abdullah II of Jordan at Palazzo Chigi today. The meeting primarily focused on the situation in Gaza, where there are still urgent humanitarian needs. National day celebrating Italy’s Unification, Constitution, National Anthem and Flag
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended this morning’s wreath-laying ceremony with the Head of State at the Altare della Patria memorial in Rome, on the national day celebrating Italy’s unification, constitution, national anthem and flag. To mark this national day, which was established by Law no. 222 of 23 November 2012, the President of the Council of Ministers appointed Government representatives to lay wreaths at the tombs of the ‘Padri della Patria’ (the ‘Fathers of the Nation’): Giuseppe Mazzini, Camillo Benso di Cavour, Vittorio Emanuele II and Giuseppe Garibaldi.
