Joint press release on the meeting between President Meloni and Prime Minister Modi of India

The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and the President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, held talks during the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro. This is the fifth meeting between the two Prime Ministers in two years. The last was in June 2024, in Puglia, Italy on the occasion of the G7 Summit chaired by Prime Minister Meloni. Prime Minister Modi congratulated Prime Minister Meloni for leading the G7 in these challenging times.

President Meloni meets with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

During her participation in the G20 Rio Summit, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a meeting today with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau. The discussion allowed the two leaders to verify the implementation status of the Italy-Canada Roadmap for Enhanced Cooperation, which was adopted during their meeting at the G7 Apulia Summit.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today, in the margins of the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations, with particular reference to investment opportunities and economic cooperation between the two nations in the fields of energy, major connection infrastructure and artificial intelligence.

G20 Summit: President Meloni meets with President Lula of Brazil

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting with the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, today, on the eve of the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro. President Meloni offered her congratulations for the work carried out by the Brazilian Presidency, and expressed appreciation for the synergy and continuity guaranteed by the Italian Presidency of the G7 and the Brazilian Presidency of the G20, underpinned by the shared priority issues addressed by both, starting with development, energy transition and food security.

President Meloni meets with the Governor of Florida

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, at Palazzo Chigi today, who is in Italy to lead an economic and trade mission. President Meloni recalled that Florida has the most Italian companies out of all U.S. states, and shared with Governor DeSantis the will to further increase investments and collaborations between the two sides of the Atlantic, including in new strategic sectors.
