The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro from 17 to 19 November.
This morning, ahead of the second day of the Summit, she addressed journalists at a press point and went on to attend the side event organised by India, South Africa and Brazil (the G20 Troika) together with the UN and the World Bank Group on ‘Digital Public Infrastructure AI and Data for Governance’.
In the margins of today’s working sessions, President Meloni had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan, Shigeru Ishiba, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.
On Monday 18 November, President Meloni participated in the working sessions of the first day of the Summit, and had meetings with the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the President of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga.
On Sunday 17 November, on the eve of the Summit, she had a bilateral meeting with the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
