The Pompeian Rooms

A neoclassical apartment is situated on Palazzo Chigi’s second piano nobile, next to the ‘Golden Drawing Room’. This apartment was decorated by Felice Giani and Liborio Coccetti towards the end of the 18th century , commissioned by Don Sigismondo Chigi and completed a few years later by his son, Agostino. Today, the apartment comprises three modest sized rooms: the antechamber, the ‘Stanza di Venere e Amore’ [‘Venus and Love Room’] and the ‘Sala Pompeiana’ [‘Pompeian Room’].
