President of the Council of Ministers met today with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in the margins of the G20 Summit in Rome.
The conversation focused on the global challenges at the heart of the Italian G20 Presidency, as well as on the bilateral partnership and the opportunities to further strengthen it. EU-Turkey relations, the Afghan crisis and the stability in the Mediterranean, with particular attention to the developments in the intra-Libyan political process, were also at the centre of the constructive exchange of views.
