Statement by Palazzo Chigi on the Budget Law
There is an atmosphere of great cooperation and determination in the governing majority ahead of this year’s Budget Law. Minister of Economy and Finance Giorgetti has produced a report on the approach of the law, which will be submitted for approval at the next Council of Ministers meeting on Monday. In the context of public finance sustainability, this is a responsible Budget that will focus on low-to-medium incomes and pensions, on families and on the national health system, in continuation of the work that has been carried out by the Government since the last Budget Law.

President Meloni’s telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, continues to keep in close contact with key Heads of State and Government of allied nations and with the leaders of the countries most affected by the ongoing deep crisis in the Middle East region.
Earlier today, President Meloni had a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani: both agreed on the need to work for a rapid de-escalation and to support mediation efforts for the release of hostages; they shared their concern about the conflict spreading further.

Israel: President Meloni’s telephone conversation with the President of the United Arab Emirates
As part of ongoing contacts with the main international partners and key players in the region following the attack by Hamas against Israel, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation yesterday evening with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. During the exchange of views, the utmost emphasis was placed on the need to work for a rapid de-escalation in order to avoid the conflict spreading further, and to support ongoing mediation efforts for the release of hostages. The telephone conversation also provided an opportunity for an update on preparations for the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP28), which will be held in Dubai from 30 November to 12 December 2023.

Conversazione telefonica del Presidente Meloni con l’Emiro del Qatar
Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, continua a tenersi in stretto contatto con i principali capi di Stato e di Governo delle Nazioni alleate e con i leader dei Paesi più coinvolti dalla profonda crisi in corso nella regione mediorientale.
Nella giornata di oggi, Meloni ha avuto una conversazione telefonica con l’Emiro del Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani: entrambi hanno condiviso la necessità di lavorare per una rapida de-escalation e per sostenere la mediazione finalizzata al rilascio degli ostaggi; la preoccupazione comune è quella di un ulteriore allargamento del conflitto.

Israele, conversazione telefonica del Presidente Meloni con il Presidente degli Emirati Arabi Uniti
Nell’ambito dei contatti in corso con i maggiori partner internazionali e con i principali attori nella regione a seguito dell’aggressione di Hamas nei confronti di Israele, il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha avuto ieri sera una conversazione telefonica con il Presidente degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Nel corso dello scambio di vedute è stata data massima rilevanza alla necessità di lavorare per una rapida de-escalation al fine di evitare un ulteriore allargamento del conflitto e sostenere gli sforzi in corso di mediazione per il rilascio degli ostaggi.

Comparto sicurezza, difesa e soccorso pubblico: un Consiglio dei Ministri dedicato alle misure economiche, ordinamentali e di tutela
In coerenza con l'attenzione che riserva alle Forze di polizia e alle Forze armate, il Governo prevede per i primi giorni di novembre un Consiglio dei ministri monotematico, che sarà dedicato alle misure di carattere economico, ordinamentale e di tutela degli appartenenti al comparto sicurezza, difesa e soccorso pubblico. Tale seduta sarà preceduta da un incontro del Presidente del Consiglio e dei Ministri competenti con i sindacati rappresentativi del comparto.

President Meloni meets with COP28 President-Designate Dr. Al Jaber
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with the President-Designate of the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP28), Dr. Sultan Al Jaber. They agreed in particular on how climate change constitutes a major challenge to our planet and humankind and requires a strong and ambitious action by all countries to strengthen their respective 2030 Nationally Determined Contributions across all dimensions and at much faster pace, with a view to achieving the long-term goals under the Paris agreement

COP28, Meloni incontra Al Jaber
Il Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri, Giorgia Meloni, ha incontrato oggi il Presidente designato della Conferenza delle Nazioni Unite sui cambiamenti climatici (COP28), Dr. Sultan Al Jaber. Hanno concordato in particolare su come i cambiamenti climatici rappresentino una sfida importante per il nostro pianeta e per l'umanità e richiedano un'azione forte e ambiziosa da parte di tutti i Paesi per rafforzare i rispettivi 2030 Contributi determinati a livello nazionale (NDC’S) in tutte le dimensioni e a un ritmo molto più rapido, al fine di raggiungere gli obiettivi di lungo termine previsti dall'Accordo di Parigi.

First three of today’s NRRP steering committee sessions held at Palazzo Chigi
The first three of today’s working sessions of the steering committee for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) have been held at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto. Among the items on the agenda were: verification of the achievement of the objectives for the fourth instalment; the monitoring of objectives for the fifth instalment; and, the proposal to reformulate the plan.
