President Meloni’s telephone conversation with President Michel
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, ahead of the extraordinary European Council meeting to be held on February 1st. In addition to the prospects for approval of the revision of the EU Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, the main issues on the international agenda were discussed, starting with Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the crisis in the Middle East and the Red Sea.

Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha avuto una conversazione telefonica con il Presidente del Consiglio Europeo, Charles Michel, in vista del Consiglio Europeo straordinario del primo febbraio. Oltre alle prospettive di approvazione della revisione del bilancio pluriennale UE 2021-27, sono stati discussi i principali temi dell'agenda internazionale, a partire dall'aggressione russa dell'Ucraina e dalla crisi in Medio Oriente e nel Mar Rosso.

Presentation of Holocaust Remembrance Day initiatives
Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano presented the initiatives for Holocaust Remembrance Day at Palazzo Chigi today, together with the President of UCEI [Union of Italian Jewish Communities], Noemi Di Segni. The National Coordinator on Combating Anti-Semitism, Pasquale Angelosanto, was also present.
