President Meloni’s telephone conversations with the President of Algeria and the President of Egypt
Ahead of the Italy-Africa Summit being held in Rome on Monday, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, spoke over the telephone this afternoon with the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and with the President of Egypt, Abdelfattah al-Sisi. The two conversations provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on revitalising Italy’s relations with the African continent and on the joint development of the ‘Mattei Plan’.

Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha avuto oggi pomeriggio – in vista del Vertice Italia-Africa di lunedì prossimo – una conversazione telefonica con il Presidente dell’Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune e una con il Presidente dell’Egitto Abdelfattah al-Sisi. I due colloqui sono stati l’occasione per uno scambio di idee sul rilancio delle relazioni dell'Italia con il Continente africano e sullo sviluppo congiunto del Piano Mattei.

National Recovery and Resilience Plan: Statement by President Meloni
“More good news regarding the NRRP, as the European Commission has today disbursed an advance payment of approximately EUR 551 million for the grant relating to the new REPowerEU chapter, which was included as part of the Plan’s revision.
We consider today’s payment to be another important step forward in the implementation of the NRRP, which the Government is carrying out effectively and with determination”.

“Un’altra buona notizia sul fronte PNRR con l’erogazione avvenuta oggi da parte della Commissione europea dell’anticipo pari a circa 551 milioni di euro del contributo a fondo perduto relativo al nuovo capitolo REPowerEU, inserito nel Piano al momento della sua revisione.
Consideriamo quello di oggi un ulteriore ed importante passo avanti sull’attuazione del PNRR che il Governo sta portando avanti con efficacia e determinazione.”
